Sports and recreation park 'De Motten' is located on the outskirts of the centre of Tongeren. The sports park is divided into a sportive and a recreational part. Juniors will not get bored a second. Mummy and Daddy? They are settling down in the cafeteria.
In cooperation with the City of Tongeren and Fluvius, Fosfari could now also provide a very pleasant atmosphere during the evening hours. Sweco created a unique design in which the River Jeker flows back through the city. Fosfari was responsible for the atmospheric lighting of the renewed retaining walls along the Jeker and for the lighting of the bridge railings, benches and the landscaped decking.
In November 2019, the renovated park was made accessible. If you are planning a visit to the oldest city in Belgium, a walk through the renovated city park is a must !
